چکیده
Abstract In this study, the improvement in SAE 10W-40 engine oil tribological performance after addition of magnesium oxide (MgO) nanoadditive and two different phosphonium-based ionic liquids (ILs) was investigated. Besides, rheological behaviour MgO-based nanolubricant IL-based hybrid nanolubricants at temperature range from 293.15 to 363.15 K studied. The nanoparticle characterization performed by means transmission electron microscopy (TEM), Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), Raman spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction (XRD) scanning (SEM). properties, friction coefficients wear parameters formulated modified with 0.01 wt% MgO 1 ILs compared neat were analysed using a ball-on-three-pins tribometer 3D optical profilometer, respectively. Further analysis on worn surface shown SEM images illustrating formation protective IL tribo-films as additives. tests sliding steel-steel tribo-pairs, IL3-based decreased coefficient volume 7% 59%, respectively, comparison 10W-40, hence better positive synergies found for IL3 Interestingly, thermophysical rheology also revealed that did not affect neither viscosity response nor Newtonian oil, adequately meeting requirements their use internal combustion engines. simulation and experimental studies for prediction mineral scale formation in oil field during mixing of injection and formation water
abstract: mineral scaling in oil and gas production equipment is one of the most important problem that occurs while water injection and it has been recognized to be a major operational problem. the incompatibility between injected and formation waters may result in inorganic scale precipitation in the equipment and reservoir and then reduction of oil production rate and water injection rate. ...
Transient combustion control of internal combustion engines
This thesis addresses the problem of combustion control for automotive engines. A method is proposed to complement existing controllers, which use lookup tables based on steady-state operation. During transients, the new control method adjusts fast control variables (ignition or injection time) to compensate for deviations in the cylinder initial conditions from their optimal values due to the ...
متن کاملAccurate Simulation of Low-Pressure Port Fuel and Water Spray in Internal Combustion Engines; Numerical and Experimental Study
One of the solutions to reduce pollutants and increase engine power is to use water spray in internal combustion engines. In this type of engine, fuel and water sprays play an important role in engine performance. In this regard, the purpose of this study is to accurately simulate fuel and water sprays and provide optimal coefficients to achieve the best simulation results. For this purpose, th...
